Quick Hit - Just a Thought

Blog 3 in a 3 part, Saturday night blog extravaganza. Make sure to scroll down and enjoy posts 2 and 1!!!

I had this thought/line of thinking today while watching a film on TBS. Not sure what specifically triggered this, but here we go. Note that I am certainly guilty of the following.

Why is it that Christians will so often act odd/mad/offended/whatever adjective you want to use when another Christian in their presence says something slightly off color...

...but then have no problem watching a movie that contains material that is often both much more crude and much more frequently used?

Just to clarify: I do believe, as Christians, that we are to pursue holiness. That is not really what is in question here. Rather, I am simply considering what may be an interesting double standard in how we respond to something we didn't intend to hear versus something much worse that we actually allow ourselves to take in.

I have more thoughts on this but for now I'll just toss this to the masses for consideration.
